The list of states in this country that I haven't been to just got a little smaller.

I'm in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This my fourth episode of Season 5 of ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Before I get into what's going on here, let me tell you about a great event I attended the night before I left Los Angeles...
I was invited to the grand opening of ADHD; Art Design Home Décor, Ty Pennington¹s boutique furniture and design store in Venice Beach, California. Here I am holding a gift bag next to the store's sign.

ADHD is a play on words since Ty suffers from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. I wanted to arrive on the earlier side of the evening since I still needed to pack for my long trip, and I also wanted a chance to talk a bit with Ty and his longtime girlfriend, Drea, before they got too busy dealing with all of their guests, including Halle Barry! I love Ty and Drea on so many levels. They have both been very kind and supportive during my experience on EM:HE.
Here I am with Ty inside the store and with the beautiful Drea outside the store on the patio.

Sorry about the lighting inside the store Ty. I'm still learning how
to use my iPhone. More on the iphone in a bit...
I invited my Creative Director, Steve Miller, and Lead Designer and Project Manager, Jason "Moose" Carrier to come with me to the opening event. Here they are on the patio of ADHD with Extreme Makeover:Home Edition producers, Diane Korman and Herb Ankrom.
After the event, Steve, Jason and I went to an early dinner together. It was nice to spend some quality time with part of my team. We talked about life and business and had a chance to do a little evaluation of where we are as a company. I really do have an amazing team at XOL: and our companies are doing very well.
So, yes, I bought the iPhone! I'm still learning how to use it. It's the first time I will have internet on my phone, so that¹s new and also very daunting. My favorite feature is the camera that syncs with my laptop, which is helping me get more pictures for you to see here on my blog. I don't like the keypad. I feel that they will eventually have to incorporate the keypad of Motorola¹s Q in order to compete in the business world, but nevertheless, it is a fun toy but not an inexpensive one!
So to get to Cheyenne, I flew from Los Angeles to Denver and then was supposed to fly in a small prop plane to Cheyenne or take a car. I chose the car since I don't like to fly. Talk about getting away from it all...Wyoming is the least populated state in the country. Cheyenne, being the capitol as well as the largest city in the state, is not really that big. The total population of Cheyenne is about 55,000 and the entire state is right around 500,000 people. Compared to my native Los Angeles, it's a major difference. Wyoming really is a naturally beautiful state with lots of open land, lots of animals and clean air. I¹m looking forward to my experience here! Check out the view from the top of the hill where we¹re building!
The Miller family, who we¹re building a home for, is an animal loving family who take in abused and abandoned dogs, rehabilitate them, and find them new homes. They also live in a house that is killing them. Levels of radon in their home are equal to smoking half a pack of cigarettes a day and is thesecond leading cause of lung cancer next to smoking. They are a wonderful family who are doing great things and they deserve to live in a home that is safe! This is a picture of the house they live in now.
Wait until you see the show and see how we demolished it! It was explosive!!!
This week I'm working with designers Paige Hemmis, Johnny Littlefield, and a
new guy on the show names Ribb Hillis. Here we all are on set.

Ribb and his wife Melissa have 4-year-old twins, Dane and Hanna Rose Here is a picture of the Hillis Family. He¹s a great addition to our show! Welcome Ribb!
Believe it or not, the next time you hear from me I will be in Europe on vacation! I'm not sure what my internet capabilities are going to be like when I get there so wish me luck.
Hasta la vista baby!!
