Growing up as a kid, I never would have thought that as an adult, my most commonly worn pair of shoes would be construction work boots! But as I am getting ready to finish my fourth season on Extreme Makeover Home Edition, these are theshoes I have been wearing the most over the last couple of years. My friends, my apologies for not blogging sooner, but my time in L.A. After the Nevada shoot was short and packed with work.
While I was there I taped the next season premiere of The Drop on SiTV. I love what SiTV is doing with it's network. They are targeting what I consider to be the new generation of America, which is very ethnically mixed with a strong Hispanic influence. Oh, did I mention quite fashionable??

While in L.A., I also spent a bit of time working with my educational organization, The Alumi Media Group, (www.thealumimediagroup.com which soon will become a non for profit organization. My creative partner, Ana Olivo, and I met with the Montebello Unified School District, which is the district I went to school
in as a youth. Our plan is to work with the school district to help bring the arts back in full force. Here is a nice note that one of our students made fore us. This picture and gesture of thanks means so much to us since we deal with so many students that lack any kind of form of expression when we first meet them. I'm looking forward to seeing our program grow!
My next show was in Delaware. I was working with Tracy Hutson who brought her new baby, Felix, Paul Dimeo, who would be celebrating his 50th birthday (more on that later) and Paige Hemmis, who I shared a trailer with. Paige and I did an on camera blog together. Go to her site to see it. www.paigehemmis.com http://www.paigehemmis.com
There was a great turn out of supportive fans and volunteers while we were in Delaware. Here is a picture of some of the fans, and a few of my favorites, these two twin brothers. Our fan base is so wide in terms of age!
WE have kids, parents and grandparents all as fans of our show together!

A very special guest to our set was Kristina.

Krisina was granted a wish by the Make A Wish Foundation to come to our set and meet all of the designers. She was very nice and gave all of us Valentine's day cards. It was nice to know that we were able to
put a smile on her face! She is dealing with a degenerative lung condition that makes it extremely difficult for her to breathe, but nevertheless lives her life with a huge smile!
As I mentioned earlier, Paulie Dimeo celebrated his 50th birthday while on the Delaware show. Krissy, one of our production coordinators, organized the party with the help and guidance of Paul's wife, Kelly. Here is a
picture of Paul and his wife, Kelly.

Krissy had all of these tie dyed t shirts made with decals of pictures of Paulie from his Senior year of high school on the front of the shirt. Here we all are posing together for a picture. Hilarious!
We had an amazing and fun time. Paulie is from Philly, which was very close to our set, so he invited some family and friends to come as well. Here is a picture of Paulie and I as well as a picture of Ty and Krissy Lindquist, who put the party together.
It's amazing how much we've all grown together and as individuals on this show. We've celebrated 21st birthdays and 50th birthdays. Some of us just graduated college and many of us are experiencing 2nd and 3rd careers. We are like a family. As I approach my final shows of the season, it makes me realize that for many, this will be the last time I work with them. A big thank you to everyone that has been part of this year! Here is a picture of me hanging out with my buddies, Chris from the transportation department and
JT and Dennis from production. These guys keep me young!
Once I finished shooting the show, I took a train to NYC. I wasn't going to have much time between Delaware and Rhode Island, where I am now, so I decided instead to spend a few days with friends in NYC. I love taking the train and much prefer it to flying!
While in NYC, I mostly shopped, ate, took some time off in my hotel room at The Chambers Hotel, and visited with a few friends.

Late Saturday morning, I went to brunch at 44X on 44th and 10th. Someone who worked at the restaurant knew my birthday was coming up and they brought me a dessert with a candle on it! Thank you! Well by the time this gets posted my birthday will have passed. It was on February 19th. I'm 42 years old. WOW! I don't feel 42!
That same evening, I got together with a group of friends and went out dancing. I love to dance! I believe that next to laughter, dancing is the next best thing to keep us balanced, in shape and happy! Here I am with
Michael Anthony and my friend Tracy from New York City!

Well, I'll tell you all about my birthday week and the all of my adventures
here in Rhode Island once I get back to L.A. One more home left to build
for the season. Any guesses??
Until then,
Eduardo

1. Eduardo!
Feliz cumpleaños! I hope you had a great one. Looks like you've been on the go this whole time, you go non-stop! I am sorry to hear that the season of the show is wrapping up, but you all need a break! Can't wait to see all the new remaining episodes. I am glad you had fun in New York. And, you are right...dancing keeps us young and alive. There is no better way to express yourself. -GL
