Hasta hace apenas un año, Clemens vivía en el paraíso que la naturaleza humana sueña: era rico, famoso y aparentemente feliz.
Todo se cayó con las acusaciones de esteroides que eventualmente lo llevaron a ser castigado en el Congreso en donde como cualquier capítulo de la animadora de peruana involucró a la esposa en un hecho que aparentemente estaba limitado al béisbol, al decir, que su entrenador Brian McNamee inyectó a Debbie Clemens con esteroides sin que el Rocket se enterara.
Ahora se supone que Clemens tuvo una relación extramatrimonial con Mindy McCready, a quien conoció en Florida y quien pasó su primera noche en la habitación del Rocket cuando tenía apenas 15 años, aunque se supone que en ese momento no tuvieron relaciones sexuales.
Aunque Clemens negó flagrantemente esto, la misma McCready no lo negó. Ahora bien, ¿y si se comprueba qué Clemens tuvo relaciones con McCready justo antes de que ella cumpliera la mayoría de edad?
Lo de Clemens se está pareciendo a la misma novela de otras estrellas que eventualmente cayeron en desgracia como Maradona y como lo está viviendo en estos momentos Ronaldo en medio de un bochornoso escándalo.
Todo esto nos lleva a reforzar lo que siempre hemos creído. Los atletas no pueden ser el modelo a seguir de los niños. Son tan humanos como usted o yo. Así que si usted tiene hijos, trate de que su rol a seguir sean sus propios padres. Nadie los quiere más.
