Kobe y los Lakers serán los campeones

Los Lakers de Los Angeles vencieron en el primer duelo a los Spurs de San Antonio luego de estar abajo por 20 puntos y quedó la impresión que el quinteto texano, si bien sigue siendo un gigante de la NBA, no va a poder contra la velocidad y juventud del club californiano.

¿Crees que Kobe Bryant y los Lakers finalmente superarán a los Spurs? ¿Los Angeles pudiera lograr el título de la NBA? ¿Cuál es tu final soñada? ¿Superará Pau Gasol a Manu Ginóbili?
San Antonio estuvo a punto de escamotearle el primer encuentro a los Lakers en Los Angeles, lo que hubiese sido catastrófico para el club dirigido por el legendario Phil Jackson. Pero la recuperación y la forma estelar en la que jugó Kobe Bryant cambió el curso de la historia de este partido y probablemente de la serie.

Sigo creyendo que los Spurs, pese a la edad de sus jugadores y la fatiga de los cansados cuerpos, son capaces de titularse en la NBA. Es más, estoy seguro que este club de San Antonio bate a cualquiera de los dos rivales que quedan en el Este, los Celtics de Boston y Pistons de Detroit.

Pero creo que esta vez el momento le pertenece a Kobe y los Lakers. La juventud, las ansias de triunfo, la rapidez y el contar con el que actualmente es el mejor jugador del planeta le da una ligera ventaja a Los Angeles.

Lo de Kobe es un capítulo aparte. Aunque más allá de Los Angeles, prácticamente nadie lo quiere, Bryant ha madurado y ya se ve con más ganas de ganar que de figurar. Y aunque sigue mostrando el tan necesitado deseo de ser el suplente de Michael Jordan, esta vez está colocando las metas colectivas por encima de la individual.
La serie no será fácil. Pero al final estoy seguro que será Kobe y no Tim Duncan, y los Lakers y no San Antonio los que se alcen con el título del Oeste y eventualmente de la NBA.
