
¿Hay una forma de vencer a Nadal en pistas de polvo de ladrillo? A juzgar por lo demostrado en el Abierto de Francia parecería que no. El mallorquín estuvo intratable. No cedió un sólo set en todo el torneo. Y, como para que no queden dudas de su supremacía en canchas de tierra, vapuleó al número uno del mundo en la final.
El "Rafa" le ganó en tres sets de corridos a Roger Federer con un resultado impensado: 6-1/6-3/6-
Definitivamente, no hay manera de vencer al "Rafa" en esta superficie. Cada año juega mejor y, por lo visto, ahora llegó el momento de batir récords. De hecho, acaba de igualar lo logrado por Bjorn Borg, al consagrase por cuarta vez consecutiva campeón en Roland Garros. Lleva 28 partidos ganados y no perdió nunca en ese torneo desde que comenzó a competir en el ámbito profesional. Los números son elocuentes.
Por lo visto, si el suizo pretender ganar el único Grand Slam que le falta deberá esperar que se produzcan otras situaciones que excedan lo meramente tenístico. Es decir, que Nadal no participe, que se canse de ganar o que abandone el deporte. De lo contrario, mientras tanto, la arcilla parisina seguirá teniendo dueño: Rafa, el imbatible.
