To avoid injuries, it's a good idea to rotate your shoes every 250 miles. Some shoes depending on the quality of the soles can last up to 500 miles before you start to notice severe wear and tear. In my opinion 500 miles on any shoe is really pushing your shoes limit. I normally change them out every 250 to 300 miles.
Another good idea is to own two pairs of running shoes. One for longer, higher intensity runs, and another shorter casual, less intense workouts and runs. This also gives your running shoes a chance to air out. It is a good idea to have different shoes to meet the different needs of your workouts and your feet.
So be kind to your feet and joints, help keep your body healthy and injury free by replacing old worn out shoes, and enjoy your next run!
