Reducing morning swollen eyes

Many times it is hard waking up in the mornings, and you can quickly notice the bags under your swollen eyes. I have notice sometimes I wake up and no just my eyes feel swollen from a bad nights sleep, but sometime you can even see the swelling in my face. You have probably already heard the many remedies that helps reduce eye swelling and bags under your eyes, or the dark circles under your eyes, like placing tea bags or cucumbers over your eyes.

However none of those remedies have really helped me in the past. I have found that placing a cold towel over your face for even five minutes in the morning helps reduce eye and face swelling instantly, not mention will help wake you up. I love it! If I am at home I will place a wet face towel in the refrigerator over night, this way it is very crisp and cool by the morning.

When I am traveling and I stay in a hotel I will fill up the ice bucket with ice and add just a small amount of water, then place a face towel in it to keep it cool over night. That is great because the ice bucket is small enough to keep on the night stand, so as I am fighting with my alarm clock I just ring the cold water out of the towel and place it over my face for a couple of minutes to help wake me up and reduce any face swelling at the same time.

Another great idea is to place the cold towel over your face after a hot shower in the morning you will not only reduce the swelling but you will see how quickly you shrink your pores!!!

Hugs ~ Pilar
