As Cinco de Mayo has been celebrated all over the Americas, I thought it would be great to talk to you about my wonderful trip to Mexico City! But before I do that I want to
introduce you to my friend and expert barman, Josh. He manages the bar at Fatfish restaurant in West Hollywood, (www.fatfishla.com) California. Fatfish is a wonderful sushi restaurant I frequent. Many times I'll meet a friend and have a bite at the
Lounge next door.

The Wednesday night before I was to leave for Mexico, I was there with my friend, Krissy Lindquist, and as we were talking I noticed this amazing video playing on the monitors behind the bar. It was imagery of animals and humans playing together in the most interesting settings.

Josh told me it was from an exhibition called "Ashes and Snow". Why am I mentioning this? You'll understand in a bit. He told me I could probably purchase the DVD online. Here is a picture of Josh and me at Fatfish.

Ya que el 5 de mayo se celebra en toda América, pensé que sería una estupenda idea hablarles acerca de mi increíble viaje a la Ciudad de México. Pero antes quiero presentarles a mi amigo Josh, un experto Barman. El es gerente del bar ubicado en el Restaurante Fatfish en West Hollywood (http://www.fatfishla.com), California. Fatfish es un maravillloso restaurante de Sushi que acostumbro frecuentar.

Más de una vez me he reunido con algún amigo y disfrutado en el Lounge de al lado. El miércoles en la noche antes de irme a México, fuí al bar con mi amiga Krissy Lindquist, y cuando platicabamos descubrí un asombroso video reproduciendose en los monitores detrás de la barra. Era una conjunción de imágenes de animales y humanos conviviendo en los más interesantes escenarios. Josh me dijo que era parte de una exhibición llamada "Ashes and Snow". ¿Por qué les estoy mencionando esto? Más adelante lo van a entender. Incluso me comentó que podía comprar el DVD en línea. Well I'm back in L.A. and Spring is in full bloom! I started to feel it coming on in New York City, but as soon as I landed in Los Angeles, I could smell flowers and pollen. As soon as I was back in my office, I had a full calendar lined up for me. Here I am with my team during a shoot we did for the TV Guide channel scheduled to air on May 2nd .

A few days later I shot an interview on the hit show on Telemundo called Mas Vale Tarde with Alex Cambert and the other guest was the Mexican actress Martha Higareda. She has been here only a short time and she has already landed a co-starring part opposite Keaneu Reeves. Here is a picture of the three of us on set.

Desde celebrar en The Big Easy que nuestro programa ya estuvo en los 50 estados hasta estar en GLAAD en la Gran Manzana.

New Orleans ha progresado mucho. Ultimamente puedes ver y sentir los cambios en y cerca de French Quarter. ¿Te acuerdas de las imágenes de todas esas personas buscando refugio en los puentes de la ciudad? Aquí está uno de esos puentes con una vista de la ciudad como fondo. Construímos una casa para una familia además de una iglesia para toda una comunidad así que estuvímos cruzando el puente todos los días.

New Orleans has made a lot of progress. At the very least you can see and feel the changes in and around the French Quarter. Do you remember the images of all of the people trying to find refuge on the bridges around the city? Here is one of the bridges with a view of the city in the background. We built a house for a family as well as a church for a community so we were crossing the bridge daily.

En esta ocasión les escribo desde New Orleans donde grabamos nuestro final de temporada, sin embargo mi experiencia en el lugar será descrita en la próxima entrega. Este Blog tratará acerca de la Isla Nevada de Rhode Island Es gracioso pero con el clima de aquí ya casi olvido por completo el clima de allá.

Hemos construido muchas viviendas en la nieve en Extreme Makeover Home Edition durante el año. ¡Estoy feliz de decirles que por el momento hemos terminado!. No más ropa interior larga abajo de ropa y más ropa. El primer par de veces fue divertido, pero para un nativo Californiano lo grandioso de vestir así duró poco.

Dear Friends,

Right now I write to you from New Orleans as we shoot our season finale, but my experience here will be written in my next entry. This blog shall be about the snowy island of Rhode Island! What's funny is that it is so warm here that I've almost forgotten how cold it was there!

We've done a lot of Extreme Makeover Home Edition houses in the snow this year. I'm happy to say we are done for a while! No more long underwear and layer after layer of clothing. The first couple of times, it was fun, but for a native Californiano, the novelty wore off fast!

Cuando era niño nunca imaginé que siendo adulto el par de zapatos que más usaría serían unas botas de trabajo. Pero estando a punto de terminar mi cuarta temporada de Extreme Makeover Home Edition estas son las botas que he estado usando durante los últimos dos años. Amigos míos, me disculpo por no escribir tan rápido pero mi estadía en L.A. después de un viaje a Nevada, fue corta y llena de trabajo.

Estando ahí grabé el estreno de la siguiente temporada de The Drop en SiTV. Me fascina lo que SiTV está haciendo con su red. Ellos se están enfocando en la que es considerada como la nueva generación de América, la cuál está étnicamente muy mezclada con una fuerte influencia Hispana. Ah, ¿mencioné que está muy de moda?

Well, it's been nearly a month since last I wrote and I promised that this blog would be a good one, and it is! When I left you last I had just returned from my last Extreme Makeover:Home Edition in West Virginia where we had to deal with lots of snow and cold weather. Well I was so excited to come back to beautiful sunny Southern California for the holidays! Well, just because I was finished shooting the show for the year didn¹t mean work was completely over for me. Although the holiday season was in full gear, it would still mean lots of work mixed in with play with family and friends.

The weekend after getting back from West Virginia, I went to celebrity DJ, Tony Okungbowa¹s 70's themed birthday bash held at Smashbox Studios in Hollywood. www.tonyokungbowa.com. Here I am with Tony and good friend Richard Perez-Feria looking very disco daddy!

¡Feliz 2008!

Bueno, ya hace más o menos un mes desde que escribí por última vez y prometí que este blog sería de lo mejor ¡y lo es! Cuando los deje por última vez me ví en la necesidad de regresar de mí último Extreme Makeover: Home Edition en West Virginia dónde tenemos que tratar con mucha nieve y frío, en fin. Bueno yo estaba bastante emocionado de regresar a mí hermosamente soleada California para la navidad. Bueno, solo porque teminé las grabaciones del año del show no significaba que el trabajo había terminado para mí. Asi que a pesar de que la temporada vacacional estaba por venir, para mi significaba mucho trabajo aunque mezclado con diversión acompañado por familia y amigos.

El fin de semana despues de regresar de West Virginia, fuí al cumpleaños temático ambientado en los años '70 del famoso DJ Tony Okungbowa que se llevo a cabo en Hollywood en Smashbox Studios. www.tonyokungbowa.com, En la foto estoy con Tony y mi buen amigo Richard Perez-Feria ¡Luciendo muy disco daddy!

Bueno mis amigos, sé que siempre digo que estoy muy ocupado, pero este tiempo ha sido de locura. He regresado de Kansas y Kentucky, del Oeste de Virginia y de vuelta a L.A. Este tiempo he conseguido quedarme de vacaciones ¡YAY!

Temprano por la mañana, el día anterior a regresar de Kentucky tuve que levantarme mientras todo estaba oscuro para hacer un viaje de radio de satélite. Lo que esto significa es que llamo dentro de un estudio en el este de la costa y ellos me conectan a una estación de radio alrededor del país cada 10 minutos por tres horas. Me hice una GRAN taza de café para eso. Aquí estoy en mi casa en L.A. a las 5:30 de la mañana listo para hablar por teléfono.
