Happy birthday Mauricio, Ramon and Monet!

As Cinco de Mayo has been celebrated all over the Americas, I thought it would be great to talk to you about my wonderful trip to Mexico City! But before I do that I want to
introduce you to my friend and expert barman, Josh. He manages the bar at Fatfish restaurant in West Hollywood, (www.fatfishla.com) California. Fatfish is a wonderful sushi restaurant I frequent. Many times I'll meet a friend and have a bite at the
Lounge next door.

The Wednesday night before I was to leave for Mexico, I was there with my friend, Krissy Lindquist, and as we were talking I noticed this amazing video playing on the monitors behind the bar. It was imagery of animals and humans playing together in the most interesting settings.

Josh told me it was from an exhibition called "Ashes and Snow". Why am I mentioning this? You'll understand in a bit. He told me I could probably purchase the DVD online. Here is a picture of Josh and me at Fatfish.

Feels like Spring Break!

Well I'm back in L.A. and Spring is in full bloom! I started to feel it coming on in New York City, but as soon as I landed in Los Angeles, I could smell flowers and pollen. As soon as I was back in my office, I had a full calendar lined up for me. Here I am with my team during a shoot we did for the TV Guide channel scheduled to air on May 2nd .

A few days later I shot an interview on the hit show on Telemundo called Mas Vale Tarde with Alex Cambert and the other guest was the Mexican actress Martha Higareda. She has been here only a short time and she has already landed a co-starring part opposite Keaneu Reeves. Here is a picture of the three of us on set.

New Orleans has made a lot of progress. At the very least you can see and feel the changes in and around the French Quarter. Do you remember the images of all of the people trying to find refuge on the bridges around the city? Here is one of the bridges with a view of the city in the background. We built a house for a family as well as a church for a community so we were crossing the bridge daily.

The Snowy Island

Dear Friends,

Right now I write to you from New Orleans as we shoot our season finale, but my experience here will be written in my next entry. This blog shall be about the snowy island of Rhode Island! What's funny is that it is so warm here that I've almost forgotten how cold it was there!

We've done a lot of Extreme Makeover Home Edition houses in the snow this year. I'm happy to say we are done for a while! No more long underwear and layer after layer of clothing. The first couple of times, it was fun, but for a native Californiano, the novelty wore off fast!

These Boots Are Made For Working

Growing up as a kid, I never would have thought that as an adult, my most commonly worn pair of shoes would be construction work boots! But as I am getting ready to finish my fourth season on Extreme Makeover Home Edition, these are theshoes I have been wearing the most over the last couple of years. My friends, my apologies for not blogging sooner, but my time in L.A. After the Nevada shoot was short and packed with work.

While I was there I taped the next season premiere of The Drop on SiTV. I love what SiTV is doing with it's network. They are targeting what I consider to be the new generation of America, which is very ethnically mixed with a strong Hispanic influence. Oh, did I mention quite fashionable??

On The Road Again 2008!

Well everyone, this blog will be short and sweet because I was in a remote area of Nevada. We built, what seemed to be, the first home in a community of trailers in Stagecoach. Situated about 40 minutes from the state¹s capital, Carson City, Stagecoach is in a valley of the high dessert. It was VERY VERY cold and so when I wasn¹t shooting or working on my project, I tried hard to stay indoors. The ground was covered with snow upon our arrival. Here I am sending out a greeting from my trailer where I was nice and warm.

Cheers to 2008!

Well, it's been nearly a month since last I wrote and I promised that this blog would be a good one, and it is! When I left you last I had just returned from my last Extreme Makeover:Home Edition in West Virginia where we had to deal with lots of snow and cold weather. Well I was so excited to come back to beautiful sunny Southern California for the holidays! Well, just because I was finished shooting the show for the year didn¹t mean work was completely over for me. Although the holiday season was in full gear, it would still mean lots of work mixed in with play with family and friends.

The weekend after getting back from West Virginia, I went to celebrity DJ, Tony Okungbowa¹s 70's themed birthday bash held at Smashbox Studios in Hollywood. www.tonyokungbowa.com. Here I am with Tony and good friend Richard Perez-Feria looking very disco daddy!

Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!

Well, my fiends, I know that I always say I¹m busy, but this time it has been insane. I¹ve been back from Kansas and Kentucky, to West Virginia, and back to L.A. again. This time I get to stick around for the holidays. YAY!

Early in the morning the day after I got back from Kentucky I had to get up while it was still dark and do a satellite radio tour. What that means is that I call into a studio on the east coast and then they connect me to radio stations around the country every ten minutes for three hours! I made myself a BIG cup of coffee for that! Here I am in my home in L.A. at 5:30 in the morning getting ready to talk on the phone.

Hiding in a Photo Booth!

Dearest Friends,
My apologies for being absent for these weeks. Believe it or not, it's been crazier than usual! Yes! It's possible! I didn't get to tell you all about my Halloween. I usually like to dress up, but I had no time to plan anything this year so I decided to get into my niece and nephews Halloween.

HORSES, THIN AIR and MY LAST DAYS IN EUROPE 2007

Hello everyone! It has been about two weeks since last I wrote and I have been extraordinarily busy. I haven't taken many pictures since the last blog, especially of myself so I thought I would include a shot from the photo shoot I spoke of last time I was home. The last one I showed you wasn¹t that great. I had BIG HAIR! I won't use that one again. But I think this one is good. Please let me know what you think! If you don't like it, please tell me why.

WHERE AM I AND WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW?

Well, I came back home to L.A. to an incredibly busy schedule. Flew back on a Wednesday night and spent the entire day Thursday working in my office catching up with my team.

Wow! Thanks, AOL TV!

I am humbled by the fact that AOL TV has named me one of the hottest men on TV!! I am sure my mom has something to do with this (LOL), in fact, considering how concerned my mom always is about the way I look on TV, since I get fairly dirty building new homes all over the United States for families in need with the show, I'm very surprised by this compliment. I try to work very hard!! Although I feel I should really be on the dorkiest men on TV list, I say thank you, its an honor and I am thrilled....GRACIAS!!!

Lobster, Gaudi and Hispanic Pride!

Where am I and What's Happening Now?

As I begin to write this, I come to you from a regional jet traveling from Bangor, Maine to Philadelphia on my way to Chicago for the night before I go back home to Los Angeles. Phew! I must admit that a few days ago I felt a longing to sleep in my own bed!! I miss my humble home!!

Back in The USA and Thank You to Emilio and Gloria Estefan!!

Well guys, I couldn't blog while in Europe as Internet access was VERY limited to me. September is going to be a very full month so I am going to split my blog into three sections:
  1. Where am I and What¹s Happening Now?
  2. Europe 2007
  3. Tribute to Hispanic Heritage Month
